3 day experience
Over three days, you will prepare for a test in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
Day One:
Starts at the Virage workshop in Valencia, where you will meet your engineer and mechanics, who will show you around the car. They will explain the functions of all the buttons and dials on the steering wheel and dash and teach you all the procedures that you will need to follow on the day of the test. Next, if needed, a car seat will be molded to ensure you fit safely and comfortably into the car.
Once comfortably seated in the car, you will move on to the gym for a physical assessment, and, a light physical training session. After that, you will learn about vehicle dynamics and the basic theory behind driving a race car. Finally, you will get on the simulator with the car and track you will be testing in the coming days. A driver and engineer will work closely with you in the simulator to improve your driving technique in preparation for the test day.
Day Two:
You will travel to the circuit. We will go on a track walk, to point out the minor differences between the simulated and real circuits. Before heading back to the hotel, we will review together some data and videos from prior test days and/or race weekends at the same circuit.
Day Three:
Test day, I will take you out as a passenger and show you the braking points and racing line first-hand. Next, we will swap places and I will be alongside you for your first few laps. After each run we will stop and go over videos and data, to slowly improve corner after corner. At the end of the day, you will be sent out for a final run alone, to try to apply everything you have learned over the course of this final day.
Once the test is over, you will receive a report covering your last three days, rating you against our database of professional and amateur drivers.
